FUNDRAISING DINNER

 

The Trustees and management committee of Islamic Education Trust (Cumbernauld) wishes to express our deepest gratitude to all who supporting our fund raising dinner on 21st April 2012.  Alhamdo Lillah we raised almost £72k on the night with further donations since then.  We pray that Allah reward you and your family with good health, strong iman and immeasurable prosperity.

Welcome

This project will deliver Cumbernauld's first Mosque.  As well as providing the central point of worship, the Mosque will cater for the development & provision of Islamic Education and services with an Islamic Centre.  At present, the funding required to complete the Mosque amounts to £500,000 and we urgently need your help and support.

IETC aims to provide the local Muslim community of Cumbernauld and surrounding areas  with:
  • An Islamic Centre for religious worship (Mosque)
  • Islamic Education
  • Community Activities
  • Provision of the basic Islamic Services to the local Muslim community
  • Promote greater understanding of Islam within both the local Muslim and Non-Muslim community
  • Encourage positive interaction with the local community at large
  • To organise, establish and unite the Muslim community of Cumbernauld.

The Mosque is the heart of any Muslim community, providing much more than a place of worship.  

The first and foremost duty performed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) upon entering Madinah at the time of emigration was to build a Mosque.

He said, "Whosoever builds a house (Mosque) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise."- at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban, Abu Dawud, and Ahmad 

Donating to a Mosque is an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah as the donor can expect to receive rewards as long as the Mosque is standing and as long as people worship there.
